Greek Spotlight: Alex and Ani

I'm in love with beautiful jewelry but says I love jewelry then a Alex and Ani bracelet. Started in 2004 by Carolyn Rafaelian named after her two daughters. Producer of fine Jewelry in Rhode Island, Alex and Ani is a eco-friendly jewelry that is sold in most high end stores like Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc. also having their own stores too.
My mom actually brought me my first Alex and Ani bracelet for my birthday but I'm planning to get one with my sorority letters on them, just a little gift for myself. I've seen a lot of people with these bracelets, they are so beautiful.
This is what my mom got me, The Pineapple.

Greek Spotlight: Something Greek

(c)SomethingGreek

So early in the week, I came up with an idea to do posts on some of my favorite Greek stores and/or Websites that I want to feature on my blog. Some of the stores/website people might know and some they might not know but I want to give them a little shout out and my personal reviews on what they have.
Now I thought I should start this post with the most favorite website, the one place I go to get all my Greek Store where I get a lot of my Greek Apparel, Something Greek.

Something Greek is the go to store if you want some great stuff not only for yourself but with your sorority or fraternity. Started in 1989 in Hempstead, New York, Something Greek has a great place to get your Greek apparel, stuff for formal, and anything else under the sun. Their customer service reps are amazing and extremely helpful. When it came to getting my crossing jacket, they made sure to that they give you what you ordered and make you very satisfied with your order. Their delivery is on point, even though I live in Brooklyn, I never had to wait no more than 10 days to get my order because when it comes to getting your things they make sure they give you 100% on your order.

Since I crossed in Spring 2013, I've been had at least 8 or more apparel from Something Greek and I'm not even done yet. I would recommend Something Greek because they are good at what they do and you will always get good service.

Here are some of the things I've brought or gotten from Something Greek:
This was from my first Founders Day Dinner.

If you want to check out Something Greek's Website: http://www.somethinggreek.com
Follow them on Google+: +Something Greek
Follow the Instagram & Twitter: @SomethingGreek
You will love it that place...I know I do.

XOXO,

P.S.: Greek Spotlight is a Weekly post, check out the next post Every Wednesdays.

Monday's Pick of The Day:Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo & Conditioner

This is the first time I used Dry Shampoo for Herbal Essences and I can honestly say, I love it. It doesn't dry up my hair and when I want to style it, it's so smooth. I also used the shampoo and conditioner when I got my hair done last Monday at the salon and I just love the smell of the the shampoo and how the conditioner made my hair very nice.

But even though, I do like it I did have some minor problems with it. When I used the dry shampoo and I want to put a style in my hair, it does stay for a while but after it does get a little blah and the the style isn't what it use to be. I would want my dry shampoo to be a little long lasting, even though I don't use it all the time but when I do I would hope lasting.
That's my only concern with the Dry Shampoo, other than that, I like this and I would recommend for other's to use. I just love the smell of the dry shampoo too. Really, it's very nice...a real must have for the summer.

XOXO,

Summer Vacation Series: What Kind of Luggage Would You Bring?

When It comes to Luggage, I'm a believer in "Size Matters". Since now with TSA your luggage has to be no my than 114 cm (45in), you need to make sure that if you tend to over pack...Like myself...make sure it doesn't exceed TSA approval because you will have to pay. For more information on Packing tips for TSA, check out TSA.gov.
Last year I discover the fabulousness that is hard shell luggages that are lightweight. They are really good, not that heavy and good to roll around. The luggage I use to have was a Delsey 24' Luggage...I love that luggage but the only thing that I didn't like about it was the weight of the luggage, I had my share of having to take out clothes out of my luggage so I didn't have to pay the fee and it's just an annoying feeling to have to take out my clothes in the middle of the airport to put them in my carry on or my mom's luggage.
My new luggage that I have now is a Nine West Watercolor Flower 24' Suitcase that my mom brought me from Burlington Coat Factory last year for my fourth cruise vacation. It was really good to have, so I came with six different luggages, some are hard shell lightweight luggages and some are regular luggages but they are also lightweight too and also good to use when you go on vacation.
One Tip: Make sure you know what you want to pack. Don't pack everything under the sun because you are not going to wear everything. Just make sure you know what you want to bring so that you don't bring a lot of stuff.

What kind of luggages do you have? Are they lightweight? What advice do you have when it comes to packing?

Summer Vacation Series: What to Pack in A Carry On

Summer is HERE!!!
Finally time to have some fun and enjoy the beautiful weather and go on VACAY!! (lol.) Which is exactly what I will be doing this summer before I start my SENIOR YEAR of COLLEGE! (YAY!!) I'm going on a cruise vacation with my family for my cousin's wedding in August so now it's time to finally start packing a little piece by piece. I'm starting this Summer Vacation Series on What to pack in Your Carry On also including a #OOTD look that would be cute to wear when your traveling, so you can be comfortable and looking good at the same time.

This is just somethings that I would bring with me on my carry on but instead of a DSLR Camera I would have a digital camera because I know I wouldn't have it in time for my vacation. This vacation I won't be bringing my laptop since I have my iPad Air, since it's more lightweight and more easy to carry themselves. You don't want your carry on to be too heavy. Also something else that I forgot to put is a extra outfit, just in case your luggage don't come in time or guess lost at least you have extra clothes to have on so you don't want to wear the same clothes twice. You want to be fabulous and refresh for you travel, doesn't matter what you take.

Be on the look out for the next installment of the "Summer Vacation Series" on Tuesday!

XOXO,

Dr. Tawana Speaks: Personal Situation: What Do I Do?

So I do have my own personal problem and I would love to get suggestion on it because I don't know what to do myself.

There's this guy that I'm interested in, We been talking for a while now but we just started hanging out recently. I don't want to rush anything but I don't want to get my feelings hurt because I haven't been in a relationship in almost a year. I feel that he likes me too but I don't want to read into it, I want to see where this goes before I want to take it to the next step. He's a funny guy and I feel the chemistry between us and it really feels nice.
The only problem I have approaching him about how I feel about it, he knows I like him. The question I want answer is: Should I wait to tell him how I feel or Should I pick a day to just talk to him and let him know how I feel?

This is one situation that I can't even answer myself because I don't want to lose what we have because it's a nice feeling something that I haven't go in a long time. He's like my male counterpart and I would really want to see where it goes.

Let's see how it goes...

Until Next Time,
